Torturing the Kids!!!

So the other day I was playing with my camera and decided to torture the kids with different pictures. I didn't get a lot of good ones because either Raylie was pulling one of the boys hair, or Jaxon's ear, or not looking at the camera, you know how it goes!!! Anyway here are a few to share with you.

Potty Training Blues!!!

Like I tell everyone Jaxon is my monster child. Colby was so easy to train, he was trained in three days and never had an accident, not even at night. Please, Please, Please, if any one has ideas on potty training please send me a comment. Sam and I have been working with Jaxon on this for couple of months now. He was doing really good for the first couple of weeks, he was wearing underwear and not having very many accidents, then all of the sudden for some reason he went right back to not going in the toilet at all and in pull ups again. We did the treat thing, and gave him a treat after he would go in the toilet, and then it turned into just a treat thing, so now I am trying stickers with a chart, and he is at least going a couple times a day in the toilet, but not like before. The question is, what worked for you and do I go back to the treat thing? It is so frustrating, HELP!!!!

December, Oh were to begain???

December was such a crazy month for our family. As you can tell again I haven’t updated my blog for a long time, but December was so busy. So many things to tell you all about so I guess I will start from the beginning.

Around the first of the month we added another family member to the clan. We adopted a Yorkshire terrier named Ace from our friends Jayme and Nancy Drysdale. He is a small house dog and we all love him. Jaxon and Ace chase each other around the house all day and play ball. It is pretty entertaining.

On December 6th I took Raylie for her four month check up. She is doing great and growing so fast, talking and moving so much, and just recently started laughing. We all love it, it is so cute, and we try to get her to do it as much as possible.

On December 16th Sam and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary. We took the kids to my mothers and went to dinner. It was nice to have a couple of hours just with the two of us. Sam I just want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. You are a wonderful father and husband and I am so lucky to have you. Thank you for everything you do for me and our family. I love you.

As I mentioned before that Sam was in the process of adopting Colby. On December 17, 2008 we finally finalized the adoption. Sam and I decided that it was up to Colby if he wanted to change his last name from Womack to Wallace. Colby wanted his last name to stay the same, then at the last minute he surprised us and decided he wanted to be Wallace. We were both very excited about this. So we would like to introduce you to Colby Kyle “Wallace”. This was such a special day. Grandpa & Grandma Wallace drove up from Vernal to be in the court room with us. Along with Grandma Cochran and our really good friend Nancy Drysdale and her daughter Kali. Thank you everyone for all your love and support.

On Christmas Eve we drove to South Jordan were my Dad and Teresa live to spend Christmas with them. It was so much fun. I hadn’t spent Christmas day with them in about five years. This year Jaxon was a lot of fun. He really got into it, and in fact asks me every other day for more presents. Sam’s brother Jon also came to my dad’s from Jerome Idaho. It was a very relaxing and so much fun. Thanks again Dad and Teresa, we love you!!!

On December 27th my 85 year old grandpa Madsen blessed Raylie at my grandparent’s house in Riverton. This was so neat. Sam’s parents drove up again from Vernal, along with Seth to be there for the blessing, and Dan also stood in on the blessing. My dad and Teresa came over with us, and my mom and Tony drove down from Smithfield to be there also. My uncle Dee (my mom’s brother) also came from Herman with his family and he also stood in. My grandpa arranged everything so a member from there church came to also stand in and take care of he paperwork. My grandpa is a little hard of hearing and asked me a couple of times what Raylie’s full name was just to make sure that he said it correctly, but I thought that was very sweet of him. Raylie looked like a princess. My grandma Madsen had her blessing dress made for her and it was absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much grandpa and grandma for both the dress and also inviting all of us into your home and giving our baby girl such a wonderful blessing.

Well that about rap’s up December, and we are already off with the New Year. We love all of you and wish you the best for the New Year!!!!

Thanksgiving (I know I'm a little late)!!!

This year we spent Thanksgiving at Mom & Dad Wallace's in Vernal. We had a lot of fun. Of course we did the normal, eating, playing cards, etc... This year we stayed at Ike's and Lisa's. We had so much fun staying with them and playing the wii. Thanks for letting us stay with you Ike and Lisa, We love you!!!
It was also so much fun having two new babies in the family. Grandma has Ainsely and Grandpa has Raylie, not only did we have two new babies, but yes, they are both baby GIRL'S!!! So it is possible. Grandma and Aunt Lani were also really good at babysitting and putting both of the girls asleep. All the Wallace boys also built a nice fire pit out back of Mom & Dad's house that turned out so good. I didn't get an up close picture, but Sam built it out of metal and welded everyone's name on it. You can see it a little bit in the back ground of the kids in the tractor. Can you tell from this picture of the kids and Jake and Lani who the favorite Aunt and Uncle are?
We also saw Grandpa Pierce and her poor broken arm. She was up and about in her little home and was very glad to see us. We Love You Grandma!!! This month Raylie also turned four months old. I took her to her doctor's appointment and she weighs 14 pds 15 oz now. Boy they grow so fast.

Halloween

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins
We had a family night of fun carving pumpkins. This was the first year that Jaxon got into the pumpkin carving. He really liked touching the gooey stuff inside!! He just kept saying gooey!!! Colby used some plastic spiders to make his and it turned out so cool and spookie. I copied Martha Stewart's idea on the mouse pumpkin and it turned out so cute.

Costumes
This year for Halloween Colby was a Gangster, Jaxon was a Pirate, and Raylie was a little fairy princess. It was so fun dressing the kids up this year. Grandma Cochran made Raylie's Costume and it turned out so cute. Thank you Nana!!!

IT'S A PARTY!!!This year Sam, ok mostly me decided to have a Halloween Costume Party at our house and invite all of our friends. We had a really good time and a lot of people showed up. It was so much fun to have everyone there and all dressed up.

HOLY COW!!!
So a couple of weeks ago I was up with Raylie about 7:00am and had just got done feeding her and put her in her swing when I heard Jaxon moving around in his room waking up. He was yelling at me from his room that he wanted some milk and cereal and wanted to watch Nemo!! I told him to bring me his sippy cup, I was getting my coffee ready and he was standing next to me with his sippy cup waiting patiently for his milk. To my surprise I look down at him to get his sippy cup and find this.......
I nearly died. I asked him what was on his fa
ce and he had no idea what I was talking about. I then took him to the mirror and he started laughing, then I started laughing, until I went to his room and found this blue stuff all over his sheets, pillow case, etc. I started digging through everything to find the source and finally found a "Sharpie" blue marker. That's right!! A Sharpie marker, from Colby's backpack. I then started to freak out that he was going to be blue for several days and we had family pictures plained for that weekend. Thank goodness it ended up being a white board marker, so it washed off with soap and water, except for the blue in his hair, but that was out in only a couple days and some strong scrubbing. It is funny now, but at the time when I found the marker I was not very happy:(

Dance

Colby went to his first school dance two weeks ago. This was just a sock hop, it was an Hawaiian theme so his is dressed and ready. As you can tell he is not to happy with me at all about this picture being taken. I took him and picked him up, and he said that he had a lot of fun. (This made me feel really OLD!!!)

Raylie
Our little baby girl is now 9 weeks old. I took her last
week for her two month doctors appointment. She now weighs 10 pounds 15 ounces and is doing great. She is just starting the fun stage of smiling and trying to talk or goo at us. It is so much fun.

Michelle's
Hair Poll!!!
Ok everyone, I
need your help. I have always had blonde hair since I was born. I just died my hair Dark Brown yesterday and since my husband has no opinion on anything that I do to my hair, or at least he says he likes everything that I do to it, I need some honest opinions from my loved ones!! Will you please send me a comment on what you think?

FAMILY PICTURES!!!
We went last weekend and had our family pictures done at Mack's Park, just up the street from our house. Most of you are going to get one of these printed out for Christ
mas, but here is a heads up. Sam wanted pictures with him and the boys in their camo. So Raylie and I had ours done in pink to counter balance it. I have to say it was a great idea and the pictures turned out great!!!
