Torturing the Kids!!!

So the other day I was playing with my camera and decided to torture the kids with different pictures. I didn't get a lot of good ones because either Raylie was pulling one of the boys hair, or Jaxon's ear, or not looking at the camera, you know how it goes!!! Anyway here are a few to share with you.

Potty Training Blues!!!

Like I tell everyone Jaxon is my monster child. Colby was so easy to train, he was trained in three days and never had an accident, not even at night. Please, Please, Please, if any one has ideas on potty training please send me a comment. Sam and I have been working with Jaxon on this for couple of months now. He was doing really good for the first couple of weeks, he was wearing underwear and not having very many accidents, then all of the sudden for some reason he went right back to not going in the toilet at all and in pull ups again. We did the treat thing, and gave him a treat after he would go in the toilet, and then it turned into just a treat thing, so now I am trying stickers with a chart, and he is at least going a couple times a day in the toilet, but not like before. The question is, what worked for you and do I go back to the treat thing? It is so frustrating, HELP!!!!

December, Oh were to begain???

December was such a crazy month for our family. As you can tell again I haven’t updated my blog for a long time, but December was so busy. So many things to tell you all about so I guess I will start from the beginning.

Around the first of the month we added another family member to the clan. We adopted a Yorkshire terrier named Ace from our friends Jayme and Nancy Drysdale. He is a small house dog and we all love him. Jaxon and Ace chase each other around the house all day and play ball. It is pretty entertaining.

On December 6th I took Raylie for her four month check up. She is doing great and growing so fast, talking and moving so much, and just recently started laughing. We all love it, it is so cute, and we try to get her to do it as much as possible.

On December 16th Sam and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary. We took the kids to my mothers and went to dinner. It was nice to have a couple of hours just with the two of us. Sam I just want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. You are a wonderful father and husband and I am so lucky to have you. Thank you for everything you do for me and our family. I love you.

As I mentioned before that Sam was in the process of adopting Colby. On December 17, 2008 we finally finalized the adoption. Sam and I decided that it was up to Colby if he wanted to change his last name from Womack to Wallace. Colby wanted his last name to stay the same, then at the last minute he surprised us and decided he wanted to be Wallace. We were both very excited about this. So we would like to introduce you to Colby Kyle “Wallace”. This was such a special day. Grandpa & Grandma Wallace drove up from Vernal to be in the court room with us. Along with Grandma Cochran and our really good friend Nancy Drysdale and her daughter Kali. Thank you everyone for all your love and support.

On Christmas Eve we drove to South Jordan were my Dad and Teresa live to spend Christmas with them. It was so much fun. I hadn’t spent Christmas day with them in about five years. This year Jaxon was a lot of fun. He really got into it, and in fact asks me every other day for more presents. Sam’s brother Jon also came to my dad’s from Jerome Idaho. It was a very relaxing and so much fun. Thanks again Dad and Teresa, we love you!!!

On December 27th my 85 year old grandpa Madsen blessed Raylie at my grandparent’s house in Riverton. This was so neat. Sam’s parents drove up again from Vernal, along with Seth to be there for the blessing, and Dan also stood in on the blessing. My dad and Teresa came over with us, and my mom and Tony drove down from Smithfield to be there also. My uncle Dee (my mom’s brother) also came from Herman with his family and he also stood in. My grandpa arranged everything so a member from there church came to also stand in and take care of he paperwork. My grandpa is a little hard of hearing and asked me a couple of times what Raylie’s full name was just to make sure that he said it correctly, but I thought that was very sweet of him. Raylie looked like a princess. My grandma Madsen had her blessing dress made for her and it was absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much grandpa and grandma for both the dress and also inviting all of us into your home and giving our baby girl such a wonderful blessing.

Well that about rap’s up December, and we are already off with the New Year. We love all of you and wish you the best for the New Year!!!!
